Surprise! I am pregnant. Not what I was expecting at 32 years old. I wanted to be a young mother and have my children close to the same age. My son is about to be 10...and now I am doing it all over again.
Raising the first one on my own with the help of my parents (all while working full time and going to school full time) was a chore. I feel like this time....having a wonderful partner and a job where I stay at home almost every day of the week.....it will be harder.
I am not in the best of health and although I am not unhealthy....I could be in better shape. My first thoughts were....oh shit! Then I began to fill with a dread and fear. We are not in a financial position to be having a baby....we are in the process of getting ready to move....and I feel like I am too old to be starting over again.
When our family officially and legally becomes whole we will have 4 children. During this economic struggle the whole country has been going through I cannot help but be worried about finances. We are already struggling to make it paycheck to paycheck as it is. Not to mention the fact that neither of us have health insurance right now....
So....since my family jinxed me and started asking when we were going to have a baby....and my son has been begging for a brother for months now...here we go. We are having a baby.
Follow me on this adventure as I blog about being pregnant while I work on baby friendly crafts while I decorate the nursery, recipes for my pregnancy that are healthy (and I am the pickiest eater ever so this will be fun) as well as other awesomeness as the months go on and December 15th starts to approach. I do not know everything that this blog will include as of yet so stay tuned....it's gonna be a BUMPy ride.
PS: My son found the pregnancy test box in the master bathroom....he is already putting the pieces together. I am glad he doesn't know why I feel sick all the time and constantly want a nap or he would definitely know! Gotta get to a safe spot before we spill the beans!
